Najaf provincial council president Hussein Al-Issaoui pledges unity and service

NAJAF, February 5 — The newly-elected head of Najaf’s provincial council says members have come together in unity to serve the governorate.

Hussein Wahid Al-Issaoui pledged the council and its members would set higher standards compared to previous councils saying, “The new Najaf provincial council will be exemplary.”

Al-Issaoui further clarified that nominations for the governor’s position were open with voting expected to take place during a session on Monday.
