Al-Nassr advances to King Salman Champions Cup Final with victory over Al-Shurta

August 9 — Saudi soccer club Al-Nassr secured their spot in the semi-finals of the King Salman Champions Cup by defeating Iraqi club Al-Shurta with a lone goal scored by Portuguese player Cristiano Ronaldo.

The first half of the match concluded with a scoreless draw and remained so until the 75th minute when Senegalese player Sadio Mane earned a penalty. The successful penalty kick was executed by Ronaldo.

Al-Shurta attempted to level the score, with their striker Ahmed Farhan having a one-on-one opportunity against the goalkeeper. However, Farhan missed the chance after the Al-Nassr goalkeeper made a decisive save. The match ended with Al-Nassr’s victory, propelling them to the tournament final.
