Residents complain of frequent outages

Kifri municipality enforces dual generator mandate to enhance power supply

KIFRI, January 18 – The Kifri municipality has mandated private generator owners to maintain a backup generator, ensuring they each possess two generators to meet electricity demands.

Prompted by citizen complaints about frequent power shortages and delays in generator operation, the municipality ordered operators to address the issue.

Mayor of Kifri Sahir Ali informed 964media that generator owners with a single unit are required to acquire a second generator within one month in an effort to enhance electricity provision. He anticipated a resolution for most issues related to power delays by taking this step.

Kifri currently has 26 private generators; Ali pledged to monitor private generator operations to ensure service delivery to the community.
