Former Iraqi President Barham Salih condemns Iranian bombardment of Erbil

SULAYMANIYAH, January 16 — Former Iraqi President Barham Salih has publicly denounced the recent Iranian missile attacks on Erbil. In a tweet, Salih described the bombardment as a “flagrant violation of Iraqi sovereignty” and a “disregard for good neighborliness.”

Salih urged for effective action to prevent the recurrence of such violations. He emphasized the need to keep Iraq distant from regional conflicts and to respect its sovereignty and independence.

In his message, the former president also expressed his deepest condolences to the families of the victims and prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured in the attacks.
