Kurdistan Ministry of Health warns against dry ice snacks
ERBIL, August 7 — The Ministry of Health in the Kurdistan region has warned citizens against consuming snacks made from liquid nitrogen, and confirmed that it poses a danger to human health, especially for children.
A statement from the Media and Information Department of the Kurdistan Regional Government, said:
The Ministry of Health in the Kurdistan Regional Government warns citizens against consuming nitrogen chips made from gas and liquid nitrogen, which produce cold smoke when consumed.
Such chips are prohibited and pose a threat to human health, especially for children.
Selling these chips in supermarkets or snack shops is not allowed, and any violations will result in legal action against the shop owner.
The Ministry of Health urges citizens to contact the hotlines of market monitoring teams if they experience any gas-related issues while consuming chips or other foods.
