Four arrested in drug trafficking operation

MAYSAN, January 8 — Four individuals, including one woman, were arrested in Maysan governorate for suspected drug trafficing, the General Directorate for Drug Control announced on Monday.

The directorate released a statement, which said:

Through a high-quality operation and intelligence efforts.

The General Directorate for Drug Control apprehended four suspects, including a woman, who were accompanied by a child used for camouflage while transporting drugs. The authorities seized 1.5 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine in their possession, in connection with the alleged crime, in Maysan governorate.
