Condemns the attacks on PMF

Amiri calls for the immediate withdrawal of the coalition forces

BAGHDAD, January 4 — Leader of the Nabni Alliance, Hadi al-Amiri, condemned the attacks that targeted a Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) headquarters in Baghdad on Thursday. The attack resulted in the death of Abu Taqwa Al-Seidi, the deputy commander of the Belt of Baghdad Operations Command.

Statement translation:

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

“And never think of those who have been killed in the cause of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their God, receiving provision.”

We strongly condemn the heinous crime committed by the criminal American forces, targeting one of the Popular Mobilization Forces’ (PMF) headquarters in the capital, Baghdad, today, resulting in the assassination of the martyr, Commander Abu Taqwa Al-Seidi, and his companions.

We also hold the Iraqi government responsible for any tolerance or delay in demanding the immediate withdrawal of the so-called international coalition forces from Iraqi soil. We reaffirm our previous positions on this presence, which has become a threat to the security and safety of the Iraqi people, and a blatant violation of Iraqi sovereignty.

May Allah Almighty grant the martyrs His abundant mercy and a speedy recovery to the wounded. Indeed, to Allah we belong, and to Him, we shall return.”
