Russian oil giant Lukoil donates equipment to health centers in Basra

BASRA, July 25 — A hospital and two health centers in Basra governorate have received equipment donations from Russian oil company Lukoil as part of the company’s corporate social responsibility activities.

Lukoil, a major investor in the West Qurna-2 oilfield, provided modern medical and laboratory equipment to Al-Madina General Hospital and two health centers in Al-Huwair sub-district.

Speaking to 964, Lukoil representative Igor Avchiyan said, “Within Lukoil’s annual program for contributions and donations, a new project for the healthcare sector has been completed.”

This was the fifth social project carried out by Lukoil this year, at a value of 76.5 million Iraqi dinars.
