Cabinet allocates 3 billion dinars for Iraqi journalists’ medical support

BAGHDAD, January 2 — Iraq’s Cabinet issued a decision on Tuesday to allocate 3 billion Iraqi dinars to the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, to cover medical expenses for elderly and retired members, those requiring medical treatment, pioneers, and the families of journalism-related martyrs.

A statement by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers said:

The Cabinet has decided to allocate 3 billion dinars to the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate to cover the medical expenses of elderly, sick, and pioneering journalists, and to support their social welfare. Additionally, the funds will be used for the welfare and medical treatment of the families of journalism martyrs, exceeding a total of 500 martyrs.
