Al-Sudani renews calls for halting Gaza war

BAGHDAD, January 1 — Iraqi Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, reiterated on Monday Iraq’s stance on the war in Gaza, reminding the international community of its responsibilities to cease the conflict and deliver humanitarian aid to the region.

He said on X:

On the first day of the new year, we reaffirm our principled and ethical stance against the brutal aggression faced by our Palestinian people. Once again, we remind the international community of its responsibilities to halt this aggression, open the way for humanitarian aid, and work towards ensuring a dignified and free life for all Palestinians.
