Santa’s tour brings joy and gifts to children

ERBIL, December 24 — A group of young men and women in Ainkawa, Erbil’s predominantly christian neighbourhood, surprised children and families with a variety of gifts as Christmas approaches. This heartwarming initiative, known as ‘Santa’s Tour,’ took place during the final days of the Christmas festival at Mar Yusuf Cathedral. Participants expressed their gratitude for the festive days and the joy brought to the community. A post from the organizers shared with 964media read:

The final day of the festival began with spiritual exercises for all believers, as priests were present to hear confessions. Following this, members of our community gathered and embarked on ‘Santa’s Tour’ through the streets of Ainkawa, spreading happiness and surprises to our little ones. The atmosphere was filled with joy and cheer in preparation for Christmas and the New Year.
