Iraqi Airways adds two Boeing 737-MAX 8 planes to its fleet

BAGHDAD, August 1 – Iraq’s Ministry of Transportation announced on Tuesday that two Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft were added to Iraqi Airways’ fleet, arriving from Paine Field in Everett, Washington.

A statement received by 964 said:

“Minister of Transportation Razak Mohibis Al-Saadi announced the departure of the two B737-8 MAX aircraft from Paine Field in Everett, Washington, located north of Seattle in the United States. The planes are heading to Keflavik Airport in Iceland for crew rest and refueling. Subsequently, they will officially depart on Wednesday to Baghdad International Airport to join the Iraqi Airways fleet.”
