Environmentalists launch “Every Tree Dedicated to a Loved One” campaign in Penjwen

PENJWEN, December 10– Activists and environmentalists in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq have initiated a tree-planting campaign in Penjwen, named “Every Tree Dedicated to a Loved One”, aiming at planting 3,000 trees.

Under this campaign, trees will be allocated to various personalities, environmentalists, poets and authors in the Kurdistan Region and Penjwen. The Ministry of Agriculture, as per their statement, confirms that activists and project organizers have undertaken the responsibility of watering the seedlings.

In a bid for personalized engagement, each seedling has been assigned a specific location, allowing the dedicated individuals to visit the site and personally monitor their growth, as highlighted by the Ministry of Agriculture.
