KALAR, August 1 – Iraq’s national Muay Thai team is training at a facility in Kalar ahead of upcoming international competitions in Libya and Turkey.

The team’s training camp will last for some 20 days, preparing fighters for the Arab Championship scheduled for August 21 in Libya, and the World Championship on September 26 in Turkey.

Team coach Mohammed Majid told 964: “We are preparing well for both championships; our players are strong, and we believe in their abilities. We hope to achieve good results.”

Talat Saadallah, Director of Sports in Kalar, said: “We warmly welcomed the Iraqi national team and provided them with all the necessary facilities and services during their training in Kalar. While some may have reservations about moving the training sessions for the national team to Kalar, we are confident that the city can provide the best support and resources needed for their preparations.”
