Rain in Kirkuk, Sulaymaniyah and Salah al-Din as Sulaymaniyah drops to 24°C
BAGHDAD — Rain is forecast in Kirkuk, Sulaymaniyah and Salah al-Din on Wednesday, with a chance of showers in Baghdad and Anbar, and Sulaymaniyah expected at 24°C, the coolest in the country, the Iraqi Meteorological Organization and Seismology said.
Duhok is forecast at 27°C, Erbil and Kirkuk 28°C and Nineveh 29°C. Baghdad is expected at 32°C, Diyala and Salah al-Din 33°C, Karbala and Babil 34°C, Najaf 35°C, Wasit 36°C and Diwaniyah 38°C. The south stays hot, with Basra at 43°C, Maysan and Dhi Qar 41°C and Muthanna 40°C. Northwesterly winds of 10 to 20 km/h are forecast in the centre and north, shifting to light to moderate southeasterlies in the south, with visibility of 6 to 8 km.
Temperatures rise slightly in the centre and north on Thursday, with light rain possible in parts of the centre. Baghdad is forecast at 35°C, Sulaymaniyah 28°C and Basra 42°C.
