Security forces seize 16.5 kilograms of Captagon pills in Arab Jubour, Yusufiya road
BAGHDAD, December 2 — Security forces, in coordination with the General Directorate for Drug and Psychotropic Substances, confiscated 16.5 kilograms of the narcotic drug Captagon in the Arab Jubour area on the Yusufiya road on Saturday.
According to a statement received by Network 964:
“Security forces, in coordination with the General Directorate for Drug and Psychotropic Substances, seized 16.5 kilograms of Captagon pills in the Arab Jubour area on the Yusufiya road. The security forces carried out an advanced intelligence operation on December 1, 2023, in coordination with the General Directorate for Drug and Psychotropic Substances, as part of a series of preemptive security operations to combat drugs. The operation, based on precise information, resulted in the confiscation of 16.5 kilograms of Captagon pills. A detailed report of the seized items was prepared, and all legal procedures were taken under judicial decisions against the accused in the case to ensure they face appropriate consequences.”
