Kirkuk Airport to soon offer flights to Beirut and Baku

KIRKUK, July 31 – Kirkuk International Airport authorities confirmed on Sunday that an agreement with Iraqi Airways would soon see direct flights to Beirut, Lebanon and Baku, Azerbaijan.

Hardi Samad, Media Officer at Kirkuk Airport, told 964: “We expect to receive the letter from Iraqi Airways within the next two weeks, which will permit us to operate flights to Baku and Beirut, and organize their schedules, with two flights per week to each capital.”

“Since its opening in October of last year, Kirkuk Airport has been operating both domestic and international flights, notably facilitating direct journeys for pilgrims and Umrah performers to Medina and Jeddah.”
