Temperatures to fall Wednesday before gradual rise through the weekend
BAGHDAD — Temperatures will drop across Iraq on Wednesday before rising gradually through the weekend, with rainfall limited to northern and southern fringes, the meteorological authority said Tuesday.
Wednesday will be clear to partly cloudy, with light to moderate rain possible in the far north. Highs will range from 21°C in Duhok and Sulaymaniyah to 35°C in Maysan and Basra, with Baghdad reaching 28°C. Visibility will be 8–10 km, dropping to 5–7 km in rain.
Thursday will be clear in central and northern regions, partly cloudy in the south with a chance of light rain in eastern areas. Temperatures will rise compared to Wednesday.
Friday and Saturday will both be partly to fully cloudy nationwide, with chances of light scattered showers in parts of the south. Temperatures will rise slightly in central and northern regions on Friday and edge up further overall on Saturday.
