Clear skies with light northern showers before temperatures rise later in week

BAGHDAD — Monday will bring clear skies with some cloud cover in central and northern regions and chances of light thundershowers in the north, while the south sees partly cloudy conditions, the Meteorological Authority said.

Temperatures will remain close to Sunday’s levels in central and northern areas and drop by several degrees in the south. Northwesterly winds of 10–20 km/h will cause light dust in some areas during the day. Visibility will be 8–10 km, dropping to 4–6 km in dusty conditions.

Temperatures will gradually rise again across most of Iraq later in the week, with partly cloudy conditions continuing in central and northern regions. Friday could bring more active northwesterly winds of 30–40 km/h, raising scattered dust waves and reducing visibility to 5–7 km in some areas.
