Mostly clear skies forecast for Iraq with steady temperatures
BAGHDAD — Iraq remains under the influence of a high-pressure system centered over northern Asia, bringing clear to partly cloudy weather across the country on Wednesday, according to the Meteorological Authority.
The authority said temperatures are similar to Tuesday’s levels in central and southern regions, while northern areas will see a slight drop. Mornings and nights will remain relatively cool, with moderate daytime temperatures and noticeably colder conditions over mountain areas.
Winds are expected to be light to moderate, blowing from the north to northwest at speeds between 10 and 20 kilometers per hour, with occasional calm periods and shifts in direction, especially in the north.
Horizontal visibility will range between 8 and 10 kilometers in most regions but may drop to 5 to 7 kilometers in the morning due to haze and increased air pollution, the authority said.
