Morning chill continues, dust affects visibility in parts of Iraq

BAGHDAD — Iraq’s Meteorological Authority reported on Saturday that weather conditions across the country will remain generally clear with some clouds appearing in scattered areas, particularly increasing in the Kurdistan Region where skies may turn partly cloudy.

According to the report, temperatures will be similar to Friday, with cool mornings and warm daytime conditions. Mountainous areas will continue to experience the lowest temperatures.

Winds in the southern and eastern regions are expected to be northwesterly, light to moderate at 10–20 kilometers per hour, occasionally strengthening up to 40 kilometers per hour. These gusts may stir light dust in desert areas.

Horizontal visibility is expected to decrease in the morning due to dust and pollutants, ranging between 5 and 7 kilometers.
