Woman killed in Erbil traffic incident

ERBIL — A woman was killed Sunday evening after being struck by a vehicle on 100-Meter Street in Erbil, according to medical officials.

Dr. Aram Najat from Erbil’s Forensic Medicine Department told 964media the victim was 47 years old and succumbed to her injuries before being taken to the hospital.

“She was hit by a car, which caused her death,” Najat said, adding that a forensic investigation is ongoing and the body will be handed over to her family following procedures.
