High-pressure system brings 40°C temperatures back to much of Iraq
BAGHDAD — Temperatures are expected to rise slightly across most Iraqi cities due to a high-pressure system affecting the upper atmosphere, according to a Saturday report from the Iraqi Meteorological Authority.
The report stated that temperatures will increase by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius compared to the previous day. Conditions will be more moderate in the early morning hours and warm during the day.
Winds are expected to be light to moderate northwesterly, ranging from 10 to 20 kilometers per hour, with occasional periods of calm.
Horizontal visibility may drop to between 5 and 7 kilometers during the morning due to dust and pollutants but is expected to improve as the day progresses.
