Baghdad municipality opens Al-Jadriya Park as part of green space expansion
BAGHDAD, October 29 — Baghdad Municipality announced on Sunday the opening of Al-Jadriya Park in the capital, Baghdad, covering an area of 2 dunams as part of its campaign to increase green spaces, in line with the directives of Prime Minister Mohammed Shiaa Al-Sudani.
The municipality stated in a press release received by Network 964:
“Baghdad’s Secretary, Engineer Ammar Musa Kazem, inaugurates Al-Jadriya Park with an area of 2 dunams, affirming the continued efforts to expand green spaces in the capital’s various areas in accordance with the Prime Minister’s guidance.
In compliance with the Prime Minister’s directives and as part of the campaign to increase green spaces in Baghdad, a new park was opened in the Karada municipality area, covering 2 dunams, situated within districts 913 and 915.
Baghdad Municipality is committed to expanding green spaces and creating new recreational areas to provide a place for Baghdad families to enjoy their leisure time.
In addition to the green space expansion campaign, ongoing efforts include road development, improvements to sewage and water sectors, sanitation, and more, all aimed at serving the city’s residents. There are also other upcoming projects that will be opened soon.”
