Hot, dusty conditions continue across Iraq with stable skies and moderate winds

BAGHDAD — Iraq will continue to experience hot to very hot daytime weather and relatively mild nighttime conditions, according to a weather update released Thursday by the Iraqi Meteorological Authority.

The forecast noted that skies across the country will remain clear and stable, with daytime temperatures similar to those recorded on Wednesday. A slight increase in temperatures is expected in some areas.

Moderate northwesterly winds ranging between 20 and 30 kilometers per hour are expected, with occasional strengthening during the day — particularly in southern and parts of central Iraq. These winds may stir up dust in exposed and desert areas.

Visibility is forecast to range from 8 to 10 kilometers under normal conditions but could fall to between 3 and 5 kilometers in dusty zones. The report said visibility is expected to gradually improve in the evening and overnight hours.
