Officials seek to motivate others

Basra education department honors outstanding students, principals, and teachers

BASRA, October 21 — The Al-Faw Education Department in Basra held a ceremony to honor dozens of students, school principals, and teachers for outstanding performance and as a motivating gesture for other students and teaching staff.

Alaa Al-Kanaani, the Director of Education in the Al-Faw told 964: “We are delighted to honor our top-performing students and a group of esteemed teachers with appreciation awards for their valuable efforts in achieving high grades and support.”

The honorees included:

  • 12 students who graduated from the 6th grade with scores ranging from 97 to 99.
  • 15 students who graduated from the 3rd intermediate grade with scores ranging from 95 to 98.
  • 13 students who graduated from the 6th primary grade with a score of 99.
  • 45 students in incomplete classes in intermediate and preparatory levels for achieving a score of 99.
  • 40 school principals and educators for their valuable efforts in achieving these significant results for the district.
