Member of Iraqi parliament requests U.S. ambassador’s departure over Gaza protests

BAGHDAD, October 19 — Iraqi MP Alaa Al-Rikabi submitted a request to the Parliament’s presidency, with signatures from members of the Council of Representatives, to inform the U.S. Ambassador to leave the country, labeling her as an “unwelcome figure.” This protest is in response to “the heinous crimes committed by the Zionist entity in Gaza,” as per a letter distributed by the MP’s office to the media on Thursday.
