Kurdistan health ministry denies ambulance service charges
ERBIL, October 17 — The Ministry of Health in the Kurdistan Regional Government has denied the rumors circulating about imposing fees for ambulance services in the region. They stated that a digital media outlet in the Kurdistan region of Iraq published misleading news that falsely claimed ambulance services were no longer free. The Ministry of Health emphasized that patient transportation by ambulances remains free day and night, every week.
Furthermore, the Ministry of Health has prohibited private sector ambulance services from exploiting or monopolizing patient transportation rates. They have reduced and standardized the prices to alleviate the burden on citizens.
