New project spans 64,000 sq. meters

Al-Amiriya Mall project set to open in 2024

BAGHDAD, October 10 — The Al-Amiriya Mall project in Baghdad is proceeding on schedule and expected to open in early 2024, according to the developer, Ard Al-Saddo Company.

The project includes a commercial complex that will house various commercial agencies, restaurants, gaming halls, and cinemas.

Heba Al-Hallou, Marketing Manager at Al-Amiriya Mall, said the project is the first shopping mall of its kind in the area and plans to cater to area residents’ needs. A number of residential complexes and universities are located near the site.

The 64,000 square-meter building includes four floors and a basement level, and will house Iraq’s largest movie theater.

“We chose Al-Amiriya because it lacks such a mall, and its proximity to the Airport Street makes it easily accessible,” Al-Hallou said.

“We expect to open in the first quarter of 2024, and we look forward to competing with malls in Baghdad. We are focusing on the entertainment aspect and aim to offer unique, family and youth-oriented ideas,” she added.
