First phase of Chinese Street project inaugurated in Wasit
WASIT, October 10 — Officials in Wasit’s Al-Zubaidiya district inaugurated the first phase of the Chinese Street project, which includes a new gateway to the town and a three-kilometer road.
Hassan Abboud, Project Manager for the Chinese Street initiative, told 964: “The Al-Fityan Contracting Company executed the first phase of the Chinese Street project, which has a length of 3,600 meters and a design width of 15 meters, along with the construction of the Al-Zubaidiya gate from the Al-Aziziya side.”
“The project took 270 days to complete without any interruptions or delays, with a total cost exceeding 4 billion dinars,” he added.
Mohammed Jameel Al-Mayahi, Wasit Governor, shared: “The Al-Zubaidiya gateway project is part of a series of projects aimed at improving the entrances to all districts and regions in Wasit governorate. Some of these projects have been completed, while others are still in progress.”
“In the coming period, we will open several similar projects in Kut, where the eastern and southern entrances [to the city] are witnessing rapid progress.”
