Tourists from the Arabian Gulf spotted along Mosul’s Al-Cornish Street

MOSUL, July 23 — Tourists from the Arabian Gulf were spotted driving along Mosul’s Al-Cornish Street, with locals eager to give them a warm welcome to the city.

Area residents said they were happy to see foreign visitors and a sense of normalcy return to the city.

Saeed Al-Baridi, a Qatari tourist, told 964: “The hospitality of the people of Mosul overwhelmed us in every neighborhood we visited. No one wanted to direct us to hotels; instead, they wanted to invite us into their homes, just like all the Iraqis we encountered in other cities during our trip. I will definitely repeat my visit to Iraq after experiencing all the beauty I have seen.”
