University of Technology in Erbil to open renewable energy department

ERBIL, September 27 — Officials at the University of Technology in Erbil revealed on Tuesday the opening date for the Renewable Energy Department, in collaboration with Germany’s THM University. They confirmed that admissions will begin during the upcoming academic year.

A senior source at the University of Technology, as reported to Network 964, stated:

“THM University in Germany has assisted us in establishing a renewable energy laboratory, which will serve as a hub for research and study in the ‘Renewable Energy Department.’ This department is set to open at the end of this year and will welcome students during the upcoming academic season.

We have also agreed on skills exchange, and the German university has provided summer training opportunities for our students.”
