Iraq welcomes Austrian Airlines’ potential return to Baghdad

BAGHDAD, September 12 — Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein said during a press conference in Baghdad on Tuesday that officials have been in talks on the return of Austrian Airlines to the capital city.

Hussein emphasized that Iraq would welcome Austrian companies to the country and that political talks have taken place with Austria, highlighting the ongoing relations between the two nations.

He also mentioned ongoing reconstruction efforts in Iraq and touched on the topic of the Iraqi community in Austria, which numbers around 30,000.
