Iraq’s high committee for displaced persons extends white oil distribution
BAGHDAD, September 9 — On Saturday, the High Committee for Displacement and Support of Displaced Persons announced the inclusion of displaced families wishing to return to Sinjar in the distribution of white oil, providing them with 200 liters free of charge.
A statement from the Ministry of Migration, received by Network 964, read:
“The High Committee for Displacement and Support of Displaced Persons, led by the Minister of Migration and Displaced Persons, Ms. Ivan Faiq Jabro, during its 169th session held at the ministry’s headquarters in the capital, Baghdad, in the presence of representatives from relevant ministries and entities, decided to include families residing in camps who wish to return to their areas in the Sinjar district in the distribution of white oil, with each family receiving 200 liters free of charge during the winter season.
The committee also decided to include these families in income-generating programs and projects launched by the ministry to encourage voluntary return and provide a dignified living for returning families, as part of the government’s program.”
