Two killed, five injured in separate traffic accidents in southern Kirkuk

KIRKUK — Two separate traffic accidents in southern Kirkuk resulted in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to five others late Tuesday night.

The incidents occurred at different locations within southern Kirkuk, with one accident taking place on the Hawija road and the other on the Zab sub-district road.

In both accidents, two people were killed, one of whom was a child, and five others sustained injuries.

A source from the Hawija public hospital told 964media, “In the incident on the Zab road, a car ran over a 10-year-old child, resulting in the child’s death.”

The same source reported that the accident on the Kirkuk-Hawija road involved a collision between two cars, causing one fatality and injuries to five others.

The bodies of the deceased were transferred to the Kirkuk forensic medicine center last night, while the injured were taken to Hawija Public Hospital for treatment.
