Electricity department employee dies in Kirkuk’s Altun Kupri

ALTUN KUPRI – An employee of the electricity department in Altun Kupri died from electrocution Tuesday afternoon, according to a department source.

The incident occurred around late afternoon while a maintenance team was repairing power transmission lines in the village of Qarabag, located north of the town, according to the department source, who spoke on condition of anonymity.

The source did not identify the victim.

The body was transported to the forensic medicine department in Kirkuk for further investigation.

Qarabag village is situated within the Altun Kupri sub-district, approximately 43 kilometers north of Kirkuk city.
