Central Bank of Iraq reports currency sales of $250 million

BAGHDAD — The Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) announced on Tuesday its hard currency sales amounted to just over $250 million in one-day transactions, according to the official exchange rate of 1,310 dinars per U.S. dollar.

Data from the bank revealed that total domestic cash withdrawals amounted to $32.29 million, while the total amounts transferred abroad, including remittances and credits, reached nearly $218 million. Total sales for the day stood at more than $250 million.
