Sudani congratulates Indian prime minister on successful lunar landing

BAGHDAD, August 26 — Iraq’s Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani congratulated his Indian counterpart, Narendra Modi, on Saturday on the successful landing of an Indian spacecraft on the moon’s surface.

A statement from Al-Sudani’s office read:

“The Prime Minister, Mr. Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani, sent a congratulatory message to the Prime Minister of the Republic of India, Mr. Narendra Modi, on the historic achievement made by Indian scientists with the successful landing of the spacecraft Chandrayaan-3 on the moon’s surface. In the statement, he expressed his wishes for this achievement to be followed by more remarkable successes in pioneering scientific fields.”
