Iraq sends aid shipment to Gaza

BAGHDAD – The Iraqi Ministry of Defense dispatched a new aid shipment bound for Gaza to the Al-Ghabawi warehouses in Jordan on March 12.

The aid comprised 482 tons of flour and various food supplies.

According to a statement received by 964media, the Iraqi Ministry of Defense said the delivery of this latest aid batch was authorized during a cabinet meeting on February 27.

During the aid delivery in Jordan, representatives from the Jordanian Charity Organization and UNRWA were in attendance.

Since the outbreak of conflict late last year, Iraq has sent several aid shipments containing food and medical supplies to Gaza.

The Ministry affirmed its commitment to “provide support to the resisting Palestinian people.”
