PM inaugurates in manufacturing projects in Basra
BASRA — Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani visited Basra on Saturday to launch several strategic and service projects throughout the governorate, according to a statement from his office provided to 964media.
The visit underscores efforts to improve infrastructure and services in Basra. A highlight of the inaugurated projects is the Basra Rolling Mill, part of the Public Company for Iron and Steel, which now boasts an annual production capacity of 500,000 tons of steel in various forms. The mill’s reopening, after a 21-year hiatus, marks another step in the industrial and economic revitalization of Basra.
