Soran university hosts third annual book fair

SORAN – Soran University has launched its third book exhibition, featuring nearly 3,000 books for sale at discounts of 30% to 50%. The books, available in Kurdish, English, and Arabic, span a variety of subjects and have been sourced from publishers in Erbil, Sulaymaniyah, and Soran.

The exhibition, which is open from March 3 to March 7, 2024, welcomes not only Soran University students but also the general public.

Reber Aziz, the university’s spokesperson, told 964media, “Three thousand books covering various fields, supplied by book centers from cities such as Erbil, Sulaymaniyah, and Soran, are on display.”

The exhibition is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Aziz stated, “The purpose of this exhibition is to highlight the significance of books and to enhance the intellectual caliber of our students, allowing them to access these resources at reduced prices.”

Established in 2009, Soran University consists of five faculties and 28 departments, with a total student body of 6,325.
