ERBIL – In response to the fire that broke out at the “Langa” market in Erbil, some shopkeepers have started moving their goods back to their homes for safety. A 964media correspondent reported witnessing shop owners along the 40 Meter and 100 Meter streets, east and west sides of the market, loading merchandise from their shops into vehicles and transporting them to their residences.

A shopkeeper spoke to 964media, stating that he was gathering his shop’s goods to take them home, anticipating that the market would remain chaotic until order is restored. “Many shopkeepers have suffered losses, and we are emptying our shops to protect our goods,” he said.

The fire that erupted this evening in “Langa” market has caused significant damage, with civil defense teams actively working to extinguish the blaze at the time of reporting.
