Fire contained at Council of Ministers building in Erbil

Erbil – A section of the Council of Ministers building caught fire just after midnight, prompting a swift response from civil defence teams. The fire, which engulfed part of the government building, was successfully brought under control within an hour.

Footage taken by 964media from the street across the building shows some blazes of fire above the T walls around the building compound.

Details regarding the cause of the fire or the extent of the damage to the building have not been immediately disclosed. The incident drew a rapid reaction from the civil defence teams. No casualties have been reported as a result of the incident.
