Sudani lands in the Netherlands on visit

NEWSROOM – Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani arrived in the Kingdom of the Netherlands on Thursday, leading a governmental delegation on an official visit in response to an invitation from Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, his office announced.

“The visit includes bilateral talks with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, focusing on developing friendships between the two countries and exploring ways to enhance partnership and cooperation in various fields, including agriculture and its development, irrigation and water technologies, and other economic and developmental areas,” the statement from al-Sudani’s office read.

Prime Minister al-Sudani is expected to head the Iraqi delegation in an extended meeting with the Dutch government team, in addition to holding meetings with representatives of major Dutch companies, engaging with the Dutch economic elites, businessmen, and representatives of institutions and companies interested in expanding cooperation with Iraq. These discussions aim to foster partnerships and contribute to the reconstruction of infrastructure and development projects in Iraq
