Chlorine treatment for all wells and tanks
Harir water directorate implements water purification measures
HARIR — Harir’s water directorate has announced a new purification initiative that will target the district’s drinking water sources for chlorine treatment.
According to the directorate, Harir hosts 20 water wells and eight water storage tanks in the district’s center, Batas neighborhood, and surrounding villages.
Shwan Jabbar, head of the water directorate, shared with 964media that officials are committed to maintaining health standards in the district and that chlorine treatment is implemented at each water source to ensure safe consumption.
“The chlorine treatment is administered at least three times a month to the wells and water storage facilities to guarantee their [safety],” he stated.
According to Jabbar, water sources in Harir are “exceptionally clean,” as they originate from mountain springs. However, he said, continuous monitoring is conducted to ensure the sources’ purity and safety for local residents.
