Garmiyan administration plans third human-made forest

GARMIYAN — The Rizgary sub-district in the Garmian Administration is gearing up for the creation of its third human-made forest.

Already home to two human-made forests, along with numerous parks and green areas interspersed among its streets, the Rizgary sub-district’s greenery rate exceeds 10%.

Arsalan Ahmed, head of the Rizgary municipality, spoke to 964media about the advanced stages of planning for the new forest, with a proposal expected to be completed next week.

Ahmed noted that arrangements for land organization and water supply for the forest are in place, with the upcoming proposal to outline the number of trees to be planted and the design of the forest.

The General Directorate of Municipalities in Garmiyan has shared images depicting the early phases of the project, including the equipment and efforts to prepare the site.
