Museum to house police archives

Sulaymaniyah to establish a museum dedicated to the city’s police force

SULAYMANIYAH, January 29 — Preparations are underway to open a police museum in Sulaymaniyah that will also house the force’s archives dating back to its founding.

The project is currently in the early planning phase, with developers looking for a site.

Officials from the Sulaymaniyah Directorate of Culture are providing assistance to the police. Culture director Mohsen Adib told 964media, “We are reviewing the project and will respond accordingly.”

Adib added, “We can offer artistic support, introduce them to modern museum techniques, assist with logistical requirements, and help in finding a suitable location for the museum.”
