German Consulate funds restoration of historical artifacts at Koya Museum

ERBIL, December 27 — The Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in the Kurdistan Region has allocated funds for the cleaning and restoration of approximately 100 historical artifacts at the Koya Museum.

Yaketi Wahid, the director of the Koya’s Archeological Office, informed 964 on Tuesday that teams would carry out dating, cleaning, and proper storage for the items under the restoration plan.

The cleaning process for the artifacts, which include cups, statues, coins, money, pots, knives, and cosmetic materials, has been successfully completed, according to Wahid, who added that teams would now work to date the items.
