Khanaqin to open local passport office, simplifying procedures for locals
KHANAQIN, January 22 – Officials in Khanaqin will soon inaugurate the district’s first passport office, culminating a years-long project, according to an announcement on the local administration’s digital media page.
Dler Hassan Saya, Commissioner of Khanaqin, told 964media, “After the completion of several legal procedures that have been underway for a few years, the Khanqin passport office will soon open. This will alleviate the need for Khanqin residents to travel to Baqubah and Kalar for passport services, enabling them to complete their requirements in their own city.”
He added, “The office will be located near Alwen Bridge, in the building provided to parliamentarian Sozan Mansour by the government two years ago.”
The new office in Khanaqin is expected to significantly ease the burden of applying for and renewing passports.
