Kataib Hezbollah: If IRGC asked us, we would’ve suggested KSA and UAE as targets

BAGHDAD, January 16 — The spokesperson of Kata’ib Hezbollah, Abu Ali Al-Askari, said on Tuesday that they would have suggested striking Saudi Arabia and UAE instead of Erbil, if Iran had asked him before carrying out its latest attack.

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

We congratulate the Islamic nation on the arrival of the blessed month of Rajab, which includes important and blessed occasions. Among them is the redirection of the Qibla from Al-Aqsa to the Kaaba and the victory of the Muslims over the Jews in Khaybar at the hands of the Commander of the Faithful, Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him).

On this occasion, we emphasize the following:

First: The Islamic resistance in Iraq will intensify its operations as part of its continued support for the steadfast Palestinian people and their resilient resistance in Gaza against the Zionists. This is in fulfillment of its duties towards the nation and the country.

Second: Despite not being aware of the Iranian airstrikes on targets in northern Iraq, preceded by another strike on targets affiliated with the  government of (the smugglers of Erbil), we do not oppose it because it helps contain what they represent as a cancer to Iraq.

Third: If we were asked by our brothers in the Revolutionary Guard about the best target to respond to the Kerman crime, our opinion would be to strike targets in Saudi Arabia because it is the primary sponsor of takfiris, and the exclusive agent for their administration. Moreover, targets in the UAE would be suitable, given the public presence of Zionist bases and their public declaration of normalization and subservience to them. Moreover, its intelligence services facilitate numerous criminal operations inside Iran.

Fourth: The selection of a new Speaker for the parliament is a duty on the shoulders of the honorable members of the parliament. It should consider prioritizing public interest over personal interests and maintaining adherence to principled positions.
